I recently read Timequake by Kurt Vonngut (highly recommend), and one part struck me as being almost like a raison d’etre of street photography. “Every effort shall be made to make every person feel that he or she will be sorely missed when he or she is gone.” In the book Vonnegut says that this should be made part of the constitution of the United States. This was a fun image to make. It took a lot of practice to get the exact combination of balance between the different hands that we both liked. Made using a long exposure (4 seconds) with an off camera flash (with a shoot through umbrella on the flash to soften the light). I’d open the shutter on the camera, then step over to the flash and trigger it manually multiple times, then repeat the process
