I recently read Timequake by Kurt Vonngut (highly recommend), and one part struck me as being almost like a raison d’etre of street photography. “Every effort shall be made to make every person feel that he or she will be sorely missed when he or she is gone.” In the book Vonnegut says that this should be made part of the constitution of the United States. I think the best street photographs are made out of love. Love for each other, love for the light, and love for oneself.
