About

Photography gives me an outlet to express myself while recording the outside world. A great image needs to tell a compelling story. It’s my goal to record an event as a coming together of beautiful forms, while educating the viewer about the joys of being receptive to the world.

Photography is an attempt at putting my best self into the final image. I find the world around me is more interesting than anything I can imagine. Striving to see and appreciate others has been an immense benefit to my mental health and I’d like to share that feeling through my work.

Street photography has real world value because it’s important for a society to see itself without the varnish of professional posing or corporate curation. So much of our lives is spent in isolation within the confines of our job or recuperating for the next chore. The public realm has a banal atmosphere to it, but one that can be charged with meaning and poetry if you’re receptive to it.

My work has been exhibited in solo shows, is held in private collections in Nova-Scotia as well as Newfoundland and Labrador, including The Rooms Art Bank Program.
