About

Photography is an attempt at putting my best self into the final image. Whether I’m photographing an event, people I know, or out in the streets, photography helps me be contemplative of who I am and the world that I live in. Sharing this viewpoint and hearing what people think of my photography is one of the best learning experiences for myself, and hopefully the audience as well. Striving to present my view accurately over what is now almost a decade is what I consider to be the main quality of my work.

It’s my goal to record a moment as a coming together of beautiful forms. Through this, I hope to educate the viewer about what can be accomplished from being receptive to the world. Ultimately, I aspire to illuminate the outlook of people on their own journey.

I take my experience of making candid photographs on the street towards recording the authentic energy of events. I use every means that I can to ensure that everyone in an image is represented well. I love having the opportunity to show the experience of an event, including the speakers on stage, attendees, and the atmosphere of the venue.

My work has been exhibited in solo shows, and held in private collections in Nova Scotia as well as Newfoundland & Labrador, including The Rooms Art Bank Program.
